Treet, the leading branded resale platform, and ettitude, a revolutionary bedding, bath, and loungewear company, joined forces to launch "ettitude re:new". With Treet, ettitude spearheaded an innovative resale program by combining Treet’s trade-in and returns solutions to keep more bedding items out of landfills.

A Sustainable Partnership

ettitude’s primary goals were to reduce textile waste by providing a system to collect used fabric for recycling and build an avenue to reroute second-quality returns for resale.

After an extensive search, ettitude chose Treet based on Treet's ability to:

Resale As A Solution

ettitude built its return policy around a 60-night sleep trial to ensure its customers experience the comfort and quality of their sustainable CleanBamboo fabric firsthand. However, through this returns process, ettitude was receiving gently-used items that could not be sold as new, losing out on meaningful revenue.

Struggling to find a solution for these items beyond donating them, ettitude turned to resale with high expectations of converting previously-unsellable items into a booming new revenue stream.

To ensure all ettitude items live their longest life, Treet built a returns integration and a trade-in solution to re-route eligible returns and provide secondhand alternatives for customers outside the returns window.

Through ettitude re:new, customers can send in ettitude items (or items from any brand) through the trade-in portal and receive $50 in credit to shop new or pre-loved ettitude.

Returns To Revenue

When a customer returns their items to ettitude, they’re prompted to say whether it has been opened or used within the returns portal. If the return cannot be sold new, it will be rerouted to a Treet-powered warehouse where it’s inspected, cleaned, repackaged, and sold secondhand on ettitude re:new. The returns integration has yielded significant outcomes for the brand, particularly in terms of revenue generation and sustainability.

The stats from their first 12 months since launch paint an encouraging picture:

While navigating the complexities of operational and marketing integration, we have encountered a learning curve however, Treet has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful approach to addressing our requirements.
